David Duchovny Sues Paper Over Claim He Had Affair

David Duchovny has sued British paper 'The Daily Mail' for running a story which suggested that he cheated on his wife with a tennis coach.

The paper reported earlier this week that Duchovny had an affair with his 28-year-old tennis instructor, a woman named Edit Pakay, while he was married to Tea Leoni.

The story also included a quote from Pakay, who told the paper that she wasn't going to deny it but didn't want to "say anything that might hurt David," because, "I don't know what our relationship means to him."

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, alleges defamation and invasion of privacy. "This is false. It never happened," it states emphatically, adding that, Duchovny never hired Pakay to be his tennis coach.

Duchovny’s attorney Larry Stein says the actor "never had a romantic or sexual relationship" with her.

The former 'X-Files' star checked out of rehab for sex addiction at the beginning of the month, however, the couple have since admitted that they have actually been separated 'for months'.
