Cardinal Blasts 'Shameless' Madonna For Giving 'Impure Thoughts'
Chilean fans may be excited about Madonna's concert in Santiago, but at least one prominent religious leader isn't.
"This woman comes here and, in an incredibly shameless manner, she provokes a crazy enthusiasm, an enthusiasm of lust, lustful thoughts, impure thoughts," says Roman Catholic Cardinal Jorge Medina.
Medina's remarks come after hundreds of fans camped out for three days to get good seats for a concert at the National Stadium in Santiago.
About 60,000 people were expected at the first of two live performances in the country.
The now retired cardinal was chosen to announce the election of Pope Benedict XV.
