Tom Cruise: More Of 'Tropic Thunder's Les Grossman Coming Soon

Tom Cruise earned a Golden Globe nomination for his comedic performance in 'Tropic Thunder' as Hollywood Mogul Les Grossman, and soon we may see more of the character.

Cruise admits he loved playing his foulmouthed alter-ego and tells E! that he's working on more from the bald yet hairy-chested studio boss.

"I've talked about doing different videos with the character," says Cruise. "I've started working with Ben (Stiller) on it, and we've kind of talked about different things to do. We were gonna do some in our free time, but we haven't found the free time... yet."

Cruise doesn't rule out a movie based on Grossman: "He's a fun character... I gotta talk to Ben, but there could be more to do with that guy."

"I'm really thrilled. Kate called me, and family and friends. It's just very exciting," Cruise says about his Golden Globe nomination for the role.

But how would Les Grossman react? "Les would probably say something unprintable. First thing when you hear about that character is, just what would that guy say? It would have to be something unprintable."

The first reviews for Cruise's WWII thriller Valkyrie, which opens on Christmas Day, are coming in and they're mixed.

The Reporter's Kirk Honeycutt says while the release should enjoy modest success, but "if Cruise's career is seen as momentarily stalled, 'Valkyrie' is not the electric jolt he needs to jump-start it." Variety concludes that Valkyrie "looks destined for just so-so commercial returns."-TVShark.com
