WHY SO SERIOUS???

I love conspiracies. And I love great movies. So as the rumor started circulating that Heath Ledger's death could be blamed on the role he assumed as The Joker I got excited. When informed of Ledger's death, Jack Nicholson (the previous Joker) responded to reporters by saying, "I warned him." He was also quoted for saying "I told him so," later on, both referring to the darkness and sophisticated power the role of The Joker apparently holds (Nicholson admitted to nearly driving off a bridge at one point during his own filming in the role). The erieness of this whole situation is making me die with anticipation for this movie. Any acting job that can consume an actor this deeply demands respect.  Ledger was also battling apparent drug addiction and depression, probably due to his separation from the mother of his child, Michelle Williams.  Regardless of the cause of his death, I think it goes without saying that The Dark Knight will be his legacy on this earth.  And I'm dying to see it.  Much respect to Heath.  You had me at A Knights Tale.
